Kanelbullar
Swedish cinnamon buns scented with cardamom and topped with pearl sugar — made for fika.

Ingredients (for 2)
- All-purpose flour, 450 g
- Milk, 250 ml, warm
- Butter, 75 g + 75 g for filling
- Sugar, 60 g + 60 g for filling
- Instant yeast, 2 tsp
- Ground cardamom, 1 tsp
- Cinnamon, 1 tbsp
- Egg & pearl sugar, to top
Steps
- Make a soft dough from flour, milk, butter, sugar, yeast, cardamom and a pinch of salt; rise 45 minutes.
- Roll into a rectangle, spread with soft butter, sugar and cinnamon, and fold or roll up.
- Cut into strips, twist into knots or slice into rolls; rise another 30 minutes.
- Brush with egg, sprinkle pearl sugar and bake at 220°C for 8–10 minutes.
Cook it together: One of you rolls and fills, the other twists the knots — then it's fika time together.
