Poland's favorite street snack: a halved baguette topped with sautéed mushrooms and melted cheese, finished with ketchup and chives.

Ingredients (for 2)
- Baguette, 1 long
- Mushrooms, 250 g
- Onion, 1
- Butter, 1 tbsp
- Grated cheese, 150 g
- Ketchup, to finish
- Chives or green onion
- Optional toppings: tomato, pickles, olives
Steps
- Finely chop the onion and mushrooms and fry in butter until golden; season with salt and pepper.
- Split the baguette lengthwise and spread the mushrooms over each half.
- Cover with cheese and bake at 220°C for 8–10 minutes until bubbling.
- Zigzag ketchup on top, scatter chives and any extra toppings you like.
