  1. Cook the noodles until just tender, rinse and drain.
  2. Stir-fry garlic and chili, then the chicken or shrimp until cooked.
  3. Add the vegetables, then the noodles, kecap manis and soy sauce; toss over high heat until glossy.
  4. Serve topped with fried shallots, with lime and prawn crackers on the side.
