Churros con Chocolate
Crisp ridged fritters rolled in sugar, dunked into thick hot chocolate.

Ingredients (for 2)
- Water, 250 ml
- Butter, 30 g
- All-purpose flour, 150 g
- Salt, pinch
- Oil for frying
- Sugar & cinnamon, for coating
- Dark chocolate, 100 g
- Milk, 250 ml
- Cornstarch, 1 tsp
Steps
- Bring water, butter and salt to a boil, tip in the flour and stir hard until a smooth dough forms. Cool 5 minutes.
- Spoon the dough into a piping bag with a star tip.
- Pipe 10 cm lengths into oil at 180°C and fry until deep golden; drain and roll in cinnamon sugar.
- Warm milk with cornstarch, melt in the chocolate and whisk until thick enough to coat a churro.
Cook it together: One of you pipes and fries, the other keeps the chocolate stirring and handles the sugar coating.
